Cole Devries pitched 9 strong innings as the Columbus Crowd outscored the
DeKalb Zeitgeist 3 to 2.
Devries(2-4) was solid in the win. He allowed only 5 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings lowering his ERA from 4.91 to 4.38. The DeKalb offense proved no
trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
The losing pitcher was Scott Atchison(3-1) in relief. It was a tough loss for
him as he did not allow an earned run in his 4 innings of work.
