Luke Gregerson finished beautifully as the Chicago Colts topped the awful
Hendersonville Commandoes by a score of 10 to 9 at West Side Park.
Chicago came up with 5 runs in the 7th inning when they had 6 base hits. The
key offensive moment was provided by Brian McCann who excited the crowd when
he lashed a single plating two runs. Despite losing, Hendersonville out-hit
Chicago 19 to 14.
The winning pitcher was Bryan Shaw(3-7) who allowed 2 runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Gregerson earned his 31st save. Michael Lorenzen(0-6) was given the
loss in relief. He was unable to control the Chicago offense and allowed 6
hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.
Wth the win Chicago now has a record of 73-73. Hendersonville can't seem to
snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 2-8 record over
the last couple weeks.
