Jack Flaherty pitched 6 strong innings as the Dyersville Jurassics bested the
slumping Gotham Gold Gloves 5 to 3 at Jurassic Park.
Dyersville took the lead off Tyler Skaggs in the first inning scoring 2 runs
on 3 hits. Tim Anderson kicked off the action when he lined a single. Jordy
Mercer next to the plate and he doubled. Jacob Stallings then hit a
sacrifice fly plating a run. After another out, Teoscar Hernandez came to
the plate and reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.
Gotham had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Flaherty(5-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing no
runs. Sergio Romo was credited with his 15th save. Skaggs(3-2) was charged
with the loss.
It was another victory for Dyersville at Jurassic Park. Now their winning
streak stands at 6 games. 'We've really come alive lately,' Jim Aldrich said.
'We won some tough games and I feel real good about this ballclub right now,
and hopefully we'll continue the roll we're on.'
