In a close game the San Ybel Islanders offense put up 5 runs on the scoreboard
in the 5th inning and got by the Tampico Stogies by the score of 8 to 6.
San Ybel scored 5 runs in the decisive 5th inning when they came up with 5
base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Nicholas Castellanos who
brought a roar from the partisan SunTrust Park fans when he smashed a two-run
homer. Tampico was retired without difficulty in the 9th.
Chase Anderson(3-8) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 6 runs for the victory.
Emilio Pagan earned the save, his 11th. Steven Matz(7-10) was the losing
pitcher. He was knocked around by San Ybel, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 4
and 2/3 innings.
'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Anderson said.
