Wilson Ramos had 2 base hits as the Burbank Tigers staged a dramatic comeback
over the Palatine Cubs by a score of 4 to 3 at Sahlen Field.
Burbank had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning with 2 runs.
Ramos got things going when he reached on an error. After an out was
recorded, Lourdes Gurriel came to bat and popped a two-run clout over the
fence. Palatine was out-hit by Burbank, 10 hits to 6.
Adam Kolarek(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Nick Anderson got the save, his 9th. Tom Eshelman(2-3) was the
losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 5 innings giving up 3 hits and 2
walks.
The Burbank ballclub's record now stands at 29-29. With this loss, Palatine
has a 4-6 record of late, 22-36, worst in the division overall.
