Eric Hosmer had 4 hits and 4 RBI at West Side Park where the Dyersville
Jurassics beat the Chicago Colts by the score of 15 to 11.
Hosmer had a big evening at the plate. He stroked a base-hit in the 1st
inning, stroked a single in the 5th inning, clubbed a three-run home run in
the 8th inning and laced a one-base hit which brought home a run in the 9th
inning. Dyersville bats were hot in the 1st inning when they had 6 runs on 5
hits and the 8th inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 7 hits. Chicago was
not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory
eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win
ballgames.
J.T. Brubaker(2-8) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 6 runs. Michael Lorenzen(2-2) took the loss.
