The Vernon Hillbillies edged the San Ybel Islanders in 10 innings at SunTrust
Park by the score of 7 to 6.
Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Vernon came out the
victor in the 10th inning. Mike Zunino was the sparkplug when he doubled
bringing in a run. After another out, Tyler O'Neill stepped in and he hit a
deep fly scoring the final run of the inning. Vernon won despite being
out-hit by San Ybel 14 hits to 10.
The win went to Raisel Iglesias(1-4) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Zack Britton recorded the save, his 14th. Riley Smith(4-1) took the loss in
relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 1 hit and no walks.
