Pete Alonso had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at Comerica Park as the Hollywood
Marines beat the New York The Yanks in 11 innings by the count of 5 to
4.
The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Hollywood ended up winning it
in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Yonathan Daza was hit by a
pitch. Adley Rutschman was next and he banged out a single to load the
bases. Alonso then delivered a one-base hit making Hollywood victorious to
the delight of the the home town crowd. Hollywood finished with 14 hits
while New York ended up with 9.
The victory was credited to Cionel Perez(2-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Ryan Helsley(3-3) took the loss in relief. He was a
hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 1/3 innings of
work.
The Hollywood ballclub's record now stands at 57-46. New York has a record of
