The Columbus Crowd bested the slumping New York The Yanks by a 4 to 1 score at
Lateralus Parabola.
Columbus jumped on top to stay in the top of the 6th inning when they scored 2
runs on 3 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Harrison Bader who
quieted the crowd when he doubled bringing home two baserunners. The game
was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
The victory was credited to Tarik Skubal(3-0) who went 6 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. Skubal got help from J.T. Ginn who earned his 1st save. The
loss was charged to Clay Holmes(1-2). He allowed 4 hits and 2 walks in 5 and
1/3 innings.
The winning ways continue for Columbus. They now have a record of 8-2 in
recent days. Not able to get much going in recent weeks, New York is 2-8 of
late and now has an overall record of 4-9.
