Manny Machado blasted 2 homeruns and 3 RBI as the Caracas Leones topped the
Nimrod Numnuts by a score of 5 to 4 at Sutter Health Park.
Machado had a good evening at the plate. He hit a single in the 2nd inning,
clubbed a two-run home run in the 4th inning and lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 6th inning. Emilio Pagan was perfect in relief and got the
save, his 5th.
Logan Gilbert(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Jeffrey Springs(2-1) took the loss. He pitched 4 innings
and surrendered 6 hits and 3 walks.
