Wood provided much of the offense. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, doubled in the 3rd inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home
run in the 8th inning. Caracas was out-hit by Aarlington, 11 hits to 6.
Slade Cecconi(1-0) allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Cecconi got help from Kyle Leahy who was credited with his 2nd save. Garrett
Crochet(3-1) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 7
innings of work.
'Wood led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Cecconi
said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
