Salvador Perez had 2 base hits at Streator Park where the Streator Reds beat
the Woodfield Roadkyll 6 to 5.
Streator had the game winning rally in the 8th inning scoring 2 runs on 2
hits. Spencer Torkelson opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk.
Perez followed next and he drew a walk. Andy Pages then hit a single
resulting in a run. After an out was recorded, Spencer Steer came to the
plate and laced a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. Streator
had 9 hits for the night.
The victory went to Bryan Abreu(1-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Jared Koenig(0-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2
hits and 1 walk in 1 inning.
